Over the years, hundreds of chimpanzees have served this country—from space flight testing to medical research.

Finally, in 2015, a landmark decision put an end to the wasteful and ineffective use of these intelligent, sensitive, endangered animals for invasive testing.

More than 460 chimps have now reached the national chimpanzee sanctuary. But not all of them were so lucky.

Right now, there are fewer than 40 chimps languishing in a costly lab—funded with your tax dollars—on Holloman Air Force Base.
